Where Did Winter Go?
The heat that refuses to pack its bags, even in November!
What kind of November is this?
Women in summer dresses, men in shorts, acting so free,
Fans racing at night, air conditioners on a road trip,
Mosquitoes dining by candlelight, having a dinner fit for a king!
Winter packed its bags, must’ve had a plan,
Leaving us with summer, now the boss of the land.
The government’s got a new bill on the table,
To extend the heat, oh, that’s the new fable!
Why did November get a summer job?
Winter’s on sick leave, fall’s taking a nap,
Even my ice cream’s sweating, can’t escape this trap,
Mosquitoes think it’s a buffet, a feast of joy!
Seasons went to school, but must’ve skipped class,
Learning how to behave, but summer’s got sass!
November’s on trial, impersonating July,
Throw a winter party, just to say goodbye!
Three testimonies of cold from somewhere far,
A chill is coming, but where’s it by car?
Winter’s ghosting us, oh, it’s just too cold,
Bring it back with a sweater, that’s the story told!
