Surely in the remembrance of Allah's hearts do hearts find comfort

The first time, I do not know how and where I can start today’s story and share it with you.

Anyway, I need to start it somewhere !!!!

So, I am going to share with you one thing about me.

And what is that thing?

I have my own spiritual remedy which helps me to clear negative thoughts and close to my Allah.

So, I listen to Sufi Dhikr and I prefer them to listen to songs.

yeah, sometimes I also listen to some songs in different languages.

What a glorious revelation. Right?

Most time !!! I listen to some Sufi dhikr in different languages Turkish, Urdu, and Arabic Sufi Dhikr, and imagine its revelation.

hmm, I got you.

Now !!! you are a little bit curious to know about it.

Why I am keen to listen and recite dhikr in my daily ritual routine?

Back 2017 !! Some unexpected things happened to me which changed my whole perspective on life. During the time, I had explored the magic in the Holy Quran, Sufi poetry, and also Sufi Dhikr.

here I would like to share one Sufi music which described my journey to explore the beauty around me with the help of the Holy Quran and Sufi poetry and dhikr.

Yeh jism hai toh kya (English translation)

What’s there in this body

What’s there in this body?

It’s only the cover of the soul.

What’s there in this pain?

It’s only the search for love.

This desire for love

Has destroyed me.

I am defeated in all the ways.

What a breeze you have-

Destroyed my life and heart!

What a punishment you gave-

Made the fidelity infidel.

Wow, you separated me

From my life in this way.

Where should i wander looking for you?

What is your desire-

Destroyed my life and heart!

What a punishment you gave-

Made the fidelity infidel.

For the second time you separated me

From my life in this way.

Where should i wander looking for you?

There where you are my cover only,

There where the search is for you only,

There where hope ends on you only,

There starts and my life ends there.

The importance of Dhikr (remembrance of Allah)

Most people are confused between Dhikr and Dua.

So, As per my knowledge,

The difference between dhikr and dua is as;

Dhikr means remembrance….

Remembering what?

Cleaning the Heart and getting closer to Allah by remembering him often! Calling out his glorious name a million different ways. It includes dua. But Dua is one of the strongest bonds there is between us and Almighty Allah. it is what you can do to ask Allah for something.

Dhikr is an Arabic word that means “reminding oneself” or “mention” and is also spelled zikr, ritual prayer or litany practiced by Muslim mystics Sufis for the purpose of glorifying Allah and achieving spiritual perfection.

Remember me and I will remember you .

The Holy Quran 2:152

As Muslims! we believe dhikr is one of the best ways to enter the higher level of Heaven and to glorify the Monotheistic Oneness of Allah. To Sufis, dhikr is seen as a way to gain spiritual enlightenment and achieve union (visual) or annihilation (fana) in Allah.

“and obey not him whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance, and who follows his own lusts”

The Holy Quran 18:28

Dhikr was taught by the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH. It can not be a bidah. It can be a part of devotional practice, to develop stronger, a greater love of Allah. It can also help to anchor the person’s practice, so that person may become mindful. It is a form of meditation and a very powerful one for faster purification and annihilation (fana) or the first stage of enlightenment.

Always keep dhikr of Allah on your tongue, no matter what

Why?

Whenever Allah SWT tries you and tests you. The first thing you will say is the dhikr of Allah.

Here is a video for helping you learn more about the importance of Dhikr in islam.

As per my experiences

Newsday !!! Most of us tend to mimic technology by focusing on our minds and bodies’ performances while neglecting the most important side of us “ our soul” In this modern world.

Yes, we forgot our soul.

As Muslims, We pray five times a day. but unfortunately!!! we’re so distracted with life that we often fail to stay connected to the core of these worships and to the One whom we worship.

Back in 2017 as above said I had found one heart-touching tool which is Dhikr. It changed my whole perspective on life and help me stay sane in most difficult times. Daily Dhikr does not matter what I am doing, I prefer to Dhikr even I do on autopilot. So, yes now it’s one of the habits that allowed me to refocus on what really matters, to nourish my drained soul, and to bring an inner peace I haven’t felt for so long.

“ Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”

The Holy Quran 13:28

Dhikr for Extensive Reward

Dhikr is the easiest act of worship that has ample rewards. In addition to its extensive rewards, when we say our daily wird, if we focus on what we say and feel them deep in the heart, we find peace and tranquility.

My Daily Ritual Spiritual Remedy :

These are some of my daily ritual spiritual remedy which I do on autopilot. Even I saved it on my phone. I prefer to listen to them when I drive or I need to focus on the important thing which is important for me to do at right time.

Quran:

The best dhikr is Quran. So, if you have time try to learn it and teach it.

Dua:

Dhikr:

Urdu Sufi Dhikr:

These are some of my favorite Urdu Sufi poetry dhikr with English translation.

Har Lehza hai Momin ( English Translation)

A Muslim true gets grandeur new
with moment’s change and every hour
By words and deeds he gives a proof
Of Mighty God, His reach and power.

To rout the foes, to grant them reprieve,
Do pious deeds and show great might
Are four ingredients that make
A Muslim Devout who shuns not fight.

With Gabriel trusted and steadfast
This clay-born man has kinship close
A dwelling in some land or clime
For himself Muslim never chose.

This secret yet none has grasped
That Muslim Scripture reads so sweet
Practicing rules by it prescribed,
Becomes its pattern quite complete.

The Faithful acts on aims and ends
That Nature keeps before its sight
In world he sifts the good and bad,
In future shall judge wrong and right.

While dealing with friends and mates,
He is dew that thirst of tulip slakes:
When engaged with his foes in fight,
Like torrent strong makes rivers shake.

The charm of Nature’s eternal song
In Muslim’s life, no doubt is found
Like chapter Rahman of the Koran,
Is full of sweet melodious sound.

Such thoughts that shine like lustrous stars
My brain, like workshop, can provide
You can select the star you like,
So that your Fate this star may guide

Final Thoughts:

Dhikr is a part of Islam and depending on the person they may look different while doing dhikr, but the core of dhikr is the same, namely the remembrance of Allah as taught by the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH. The phrase dhikr Allah includes everything by means of which a person may draw close to Allah, such as belief (‘aqeedah), thoughts, actions of the heart, physical actions, praising Allah, learning and teaching beneficial knowledge, and so on. All of that is a remembrance of Allah. Allah will listen to dua only when you are connected to Allah.

Allah tells us in Quran that the comfort of hearts is in “Dhik’r Allah” and Prophet used to recite the beloved names of Allah.

The best dhikr for spiritual experience is just to concentrate on your dhikr every day. Once you are able to concentrate on it. Your Soule gets more power. That experience is spiritual.

Dhikr also stops us from performing heedless actions. Whenever you ask for blessings from Allah to perform an action, obviously you know what you are doing. Because doing anything heedlessly will not be fruitful. For example, if a person eats food with full concentration and awareness of what he is doing, it is likely to give a positive impact on his body.

When your heart starts moving you know your journey has now just started. Don’t that Quality matters, not the quantity, and any Dhikr you do, the sincere heart shall find Allah. Just do the Dhikr without worrying about the result. Allah will bless you, anyway, InshaAllah.

Only Allah has a piece of perfect knowledge. May Allah forget us for ignorance, our mistakes, and our faults and hopefully grant us the truth.

verily good deeds do away with evil deeds.

And that is a reminder for those who remember.

Be patient with yourself. And Keep learning!!

I will be calmer, I will spread love as long as I can, I will live a spiritual life, I would do what I please no matter what and I would prove my theories.

Always start your day with renewing your intention that everything you do for yourself and your community, whether it be your acts of worship or daily chores. It all has to be merely for the sake of Allah (SWT) and Also, I ask Allah (SWT) to make my work dedicated only to him and forgiveness from Allah (SWT), if I have got anything wrong. It is He who is the hearing, the knowing.
