More Than Just Daily Duties
Why Marry? Beyond Chores to Cherished Moments
Some say a wife is there to cook and clean,
To do the work, to keep things neat and keen.
But a smart man knows something more,
In love, it’s not about keeping score.
He didn’t marry a cook or a maid,
But someone with whom life’s joys are shared.
Not just hands for chores, but hands to hold,
In moments of warmth, and stories told.
He didn’t want her just to do tasks,
But to share life, in moments that last.
For in her eyes, he finds his home,
Not in a house, but where their hearts roam.
So here’s the punch, a thought that’s true,
Love isn’t work that one should do.
It’s about sharing the life they create,
Where every moment together is great.
And as Allah teaches, man and wife,
Are garments for each other, in this life.
Together they walk, hand in hand,
Following the path that Allah has planned.
