Prayed Janazza of My Feelings

These words might make you smile,

But they’re true, not just a trial.

Today, I prayed the janazza, feeling so blue,

For the feelings I once had, now gone for you.

Once alive and bright, like morning light,

They’re no longer here, those feelings in sight.

To Her all things come and eventually return,

May Allah accept my prayer, as these feelings I now spurn.

Love was a dream, a tricky play,

An adventure that led us both astray.

We built our love with joy and fun,

Now it's over, its course has run.

Love’s humor has a special place,

A laugh through tears, a bittersweet grace.

But now I stand, clear and true,

Saying goodbye to what I once knew.

From starry skies to earthy ground,

Our hearts are guided by time’s round.

So with a simple heart, I let go,

Trusting in fate, letting it flow.

Farewell, my feelings, my gentle muse,

In humor’s light, you leave no bruise.

May Allah accept this prayer I plea,

As I lay to rest what was once part of me.
